Caring for Elders a Critical Tribal Value

QNT’s elders are the cornerstone to tribal success so our Elder Care programs are critically important. If you’re in need of services, we are here to provide them for you.

Until recently, our elders needed to leave home to receive long term care. Leaving one’s home is never easy and a particular problem within the Alaska Native culture. Grant funding from the Indian Health Service offers the chance for more members to stay in their homes to receive needed services.

We offer help in the home and also a respite program for caregivers taking care of their elderly relatives.
